Well, this is not a painting, but it is my creative project of the week. :P I started out with this pattern but then made a bunch of adjustments, which I will now document here in case anyone wants to follow along. :) Obviously, I only used one color yarn but sewed fabric lining for his ears and also for the pads of his feet, which I think turned out awesome.Ch 2, sc n in first chain sucks, use the magic ring method instead.
The standard sc2tog also sucks, use invisible decrease instead.
To weave in ends use this technique, it is fantastic.
Ears: I don't think bunny ears should be so pointy, as in the pattern, so I did this instead:
Row 1: 4 sc in magic ring, pull tight
Row 2: 4 sc
Row 3: 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, repeat -- 6 sc total
Row 4: 6 sc
Row 5: 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, repeat -- 8 sc total
Row 6: 8 sc
Row 7: 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc, repeat -- 10 sc total
Row 8-9: 10 sc
Row 10: 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, repeat -- 12 sc total
Row 11-12: 12 sc
Row 13: 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc, repeat -- 14 sc total
Row 14-19: 14 sc
Row 20: sc2tog, sc next 4 sc, repeat -- 12 sc total
Row 21-22: 12 sc
Arms: With both arms and legs I made them larger, and also wanted them to taper more on one side than the other.
Row 1: 6 sc in magic ring
Row 2: 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, repeat - 9 sc total
Row 3-6: 9 sc
Row 7: sc2tog 3 times, sc in next 3 sc -- 6 sc total
Legs:
Row 1: 6 sc in magic ring
Row 2: 2 sc in next sc, repeat -- 12 sc total
Row 3-6: 12 sc
Row 7: sc2tog 3 times, sc in next 6 sc -- 9 sc total
Row 8: sc2tog 3 times, sc in next 3 sc -- 6 sc total
